Esports organization has launched their HER Galaxy Tournament Series for women gamers to have playing opportunities, with a prize pool of $250,000 distributed through seven events: on Apex Legends and Rocket League.

The series is a part of the HER Galaxy initiative by Galaxy Racer, which seeks to position women in more esports playing opportunities in North America, with grassroot-level assistance, while offering education and networking opportunities to interested gamers.
The goal is to encourage amateur gamers to explore the competitive gaming scene and fight against harassment from other gamers. With a eight day broadcast period and a $250,000 prize pool, gamers are going to be able participate in open qualifiers in Rocket League and Apex Legends, as long as they are women and reside in North America.
The VP of Partnerships for Galaxy Racer, Megan Holgate, made comments saying that they have the opportunity to “...change the trajectory of gaming culture by putting more support behind initiatives for gamers who identify as women.”
