More Esports Events To Look Out For In 2023

 

Competitive video gaming continues to be embraced on a global level, and ensuring that this happens just like traditional sports such as football, and track and field, there are tournaments and conferences being held both online and in-person. We did our best to cover a number of them in our previous post, and here we are again highlighting some more popping up as the days go by. So for you my esports community, gamers and fans alike, you still have more to explore and participate in, with juicy prize pools to motivate you to bring your A-game, and a community to learn from and connect with! 

 

  • FIFA Seasons Daily Tournament: This tournament is organized by the homegrown Saudi gaming platform Kafu Games, and can be played online everywhere in the world. With registration open now, you may want to sign up and show why you should be noticed and possibly crowned a FIFA 23 king or queen! 



  • Guilford Games Festival 2023: Guilford Games Limited, a non-profit entity that is into gaming gaming communities, is here again with another edition of the Guilford Games Festival. There will be an in-person event and digital streaming live on Twitch with cosplay competitions, developers from gaming studios to interact with, as well as classic local game competitions at the Guilford Arcade.   • LVL UP EXPO 2023: The LVL UP EXPO is an annual event that seeks to bring together people from all backgrounds to participate in competitive gaming, community building and artistry in a span of three days. This year marks ten years since they began, with more to offer in tournaments, exhibitions, and more. Console, PC gaming and retro tournaments are going down at this event, with registration ongoing although the scheduled dates and time are bound to change. This year’s event is being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas NV from February 17th to the 19th 2023. Register now and witness creativity, passion and competitive spirits on a global level. 
  • Dota 2 - Lima Major 2023: Not only is this tournament the first Major of 2023 Dota Pro Circuit season, but this tournament happens to be the first South American DPC Major in history. The Dota 2 tournament will be up and running from 22nd to 26th February 2023 for group stages and for playoffs the dates are 28th February to 5th March 2023, taking place in Lima, Peru. Eighteen teams will be participating in this tournament for a prize pool of $500,000 – four teams each from Western Europe and China, three teams each from Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, and two teams each from North America and South America. The event will be streaming on the Twitch channel EpulzeGaming, and other important details can be found here.  



  • CS:GO – ESL Pro League Season 17: Fans of Counter Strike: Global Offensive will get to witness another round of this tournament, kicking off on the 22nd of February and ending on the 26th of March, 2023, where the champion will be crowned. This is a LAN event, and the venue is still undisclosed although it has been established that it is happening in Malta. The tournament will feature 32 CS:GO teams across the globe. The prize pool is set at $850,000 USD, which will also qualify the winner for the IEM Cologne 2023 event. More on the group stage and playoff fixtures can be found here as well as streaming platforms where the tournament will be simulcast.
